Our trip to Chicago

|

From Google

C.H.I.C.A.G.O is a beautiful city. Almost as beautiful as me, Yuck! (joke only)

We had so much fun... I am so glad we went. (Thank you Philippine Passport for expiring!)

Ever had that feeling of anxiety?  A panic attack? I swear to the birds, I was sitting so pretty inside the van when I realized one thing. Frakity frak frak frak!!!! I left my make up bag!!!! *acting like it's the end of the world* Of all things... I left my magic treasure. I still can't believe it really happened.

Oh well, we stopped at walgreens and picked up basic basic stuff i'll need.

THOUGHTS: I will definitely buy the Revlon Brow pencil and eyebrow mascara again. I tell you what? it's better than the Benefit eyebrow pencil I just bought recently, yaiks!

Cover Girl Mascara is my favorite mascara. I use the waterproof in Black.

The rest I won't even talk about. Oh I also bought a new nail polish (ESSIE). I love the color. It's light brown, it looks very very nice.

So anyways, back to our trip... It was soooooooooooo fun.... Here are some proofs.

Beach??? That's what I thought to myself the first time my husband said we're going to the beach. But yep, we went and splashed around in the water... Actually it's a very very very BIG lake.
It's so big that it looks like the ocean.

We also went to the Navy Pier and rode the Ferris Wheel...

From Google Images

I am scared of heights. Terrified actually. But I can't show it to my kids, because I don't want them to grow up like me. Plus, I want to toughen them up. SO... I pretended like I was having up there... Waaaah...

I am now as tan as can be. And I love it. It's so funny, because  if i'm in the Philippines right now? I will be conscious with my skin color being dark, just because what society says there that dark skinned women are not as pretty as the girls with pale skin.

How Ironic right? People here in the US roast themselves up in a tanning bed or they'll be out in the sun all day or as long as they can, just to have a beautiful sun-kissed skin.

And I feel blessed that I am born with it.

SO now when I go back to my country. I will never again be concerned if my skin is darker and not as white as snow.

Thank you USA, I realized how much I adore my self.

We also went to see CARS 2. Boy oh boy, My little Zyon was a very happy boy.

I am very pleased with the outcome of our trip. I am also glad that now I have most answers to all of my questions regarding, Passports, Visas, Naturalization Process, etc...

Will post a different post regarding Embassy topic.

Till next time,
LHEY

On the road again... Chicago Bound

|
Greetings from somewhere between MO and IL hehe...

We are heading to Chicago to renew our Philippine Passports, well in our family it's only my Eldest daughter Jazzle and I that has a Local Passport. The rest of them are American Citizens.

Our status here in the US are as Immigrants. I've been living here for straight 5 years so I can now apply for a citizenship if I wish to. But, I am not sure what I wanna do just yet.

The closest Philippine embassy to us is the one in Chicago, and now that they require personal appearances for passport renewals we had no choice but to travel.

We could fly but we thought that it'll be more fun to take a road trip. Plus we could take MORE with us, that means our van is full of toys, pillows, and lots and lots of food! Can you picture it in your head?

The approximate travel time from Arkansas to
Chicago is between 10 to 11 hrs. We left Bella Vista at 7pm last night and stopped at around 1am.

So Today we only have at least 4 more hours of driving to do.

Zyon loves breakfast in hotels.

He thinks its more special than the cereal we have at home, lol!

On the sad note... Baby raine is still sick with off and on fever. Her growing her mollars that's why.

Hope she feels better soon. How bout you? How are you?

My Dear Family Visited Us

|

I miss them already. As crazy as it is... I miss the noise, the loudness, the fun, the energy of having my family at home...

Jazzle misses Nanay already so much. My Nanay helped me raised Jazzle from day 1. She is so good to us. She is so good to everybody. She loves her kids and grandkids so much, And I pray to God that may all of us are showing our appreciation to her in our own special ways.

She is a gift from heaven to us. She is the loudest, craziest Nanay there is.

I wish she would just stay with us.
I am sure there will be times that she will get in my last nerves, but i'd rather have that than her living so far from us.

I wish we have her always.
So that my house will be loud again...

I bet she's a little disappointed because baby raine acted so silly the last 3 days and didn't want to go with anybody but dad & I.
Silly Raine... Nanay loves you Stinky!!!

Zyon was so happy to have a new uncle/Best friend in Kuya Arman.

They played a lot.

Zyon got new toys, Lots of new toys... And He is so happy and thankful

"Thanks Tito Arman!"
Love,
Zyon

It's amazing how much the energy in our house changed when we came home from the airport after dropping them off. Everyone was so quiet. Sigh...

Jason loves my nanay so much. He embraced my family and culture so well.
And I will always love him more for that.

Until next time again guys...  Hopefully next time we'll see each other again in the Philippines already.
Thanks for all the laughter, and love.

Digital Scrapbooking Again!

|
I missed this... digital scrapbooking. A pain the behind but once it's done, it feels so rewarding... Do you like scrapbooking also? Digital or Paper? Both ways I think it's really fun. I just enjoy the digital more, because I don't have to worry with lots of trash and mess. Here's my latest project... Baby Raine eating a watermelon yesterday... Sooooo Cute...

Here are the images that I used...

Wanna try this one...

And this one...

I am not certain if I can pull off Jlo's red red lips though... It appears that she used a darker lip liner and used a lipgloss while Rihanna's lipstick is matte. But nevertheless I like them both, whatchatink?

P.S
I gotta work on my makeup project ASAP!

Love,
Lhey

Busy/Tiring Day

|
Wow!!! I made it through the day without having a major nervous breakdown. I finished LOADS AND LOADS of Laundry. Unpacked clothes and lots of sheets and towels from the garage, we cleaned up the garage yesterday that's why we discovered more junk, lol.

Yesterday I knew what was waiting for me today. But until I sorted everything out and all of it was right in front of me, I found myself in a panic mode... the diva part of me was screaming inside. I don't remember how I began loading the washer but somehow I did it.

Sorry I didn't had no time to take pictures and plus I wasn't in the right mind set earlier. I got really overwhelmed. And I must admit that I'm not the best when it comes to sudden pressure. My body needs enough time to adjust, and I even have to force my other half to manually press my own reset button to just recover from a temporary dellusion. That's how bad it can get when i'm under pressure.

Okay, but you know what??? I'm just gonna blame it on my hormones, LOL!

There, I said it.

It was my hormones. A good enough excuse. Plus it always work! :)

And with a lil help from my home-made Oreo Pudding Pie

After the 1st bite? Every chores afterwards was such a breeze...

How about you? How was your day?
